Spring Clubs in the Spotlight

The Spring Club Fair took place on Jan. 29 at The Stood, where many clubs and services gathered to connect with interested students.


Trading Card Game Club Co-Vice Presidents, Antonio Salazar (left) and Matt Descalzo (Center) showed a student the games at their table.


New club, Alkebulan, made their club fair debut with the goal of helping students at Purchase explore their African Heritage.


The newly formed Pre-Law Society made its debut at the club fair, welcoming aspiring legal professionals.

Lizz Elvira (left) and Malika Thompson (right) from College Readiness, Achievement and Retention (CREAR) Futuros gave out T-shirts at their table as they informed people about their mentorship opportunities. 


Rocket Compost, Outdoors Club and Creative Artists Producing Epic Stories (CAPES) joined their tables together to make it easier for students to see all three of their groups.


Everett Currier, Lucas Colon, Izzy Cardona, and other Nerf Club members offer their blasters to attract students to their table.


The Alt Center set up a table providing resources such as tampons, condoms and pregnancy tests to show some of the supplies they are able to provide to students on campus.


Intervarsity had games and snacks at their table, as well as an option for students to voice their relationship to the Christian Faith.


Topaz Gal-Zur (left) and Matt Broner (right) represented Hillel at Purchase with a variety of branded merchandise including notebooks, frisbees and cups.


Fencing Club armed and ready to showcase their skills to potential new members.


Purchase Game Club showcased the wide variety of games their club plays through the use of stuffed animals.


Economics club decorated their table as a poker table to promote their “Poker Night” they host each semester.


Gem 67 Officers, Anjali Jimene and Liz Baldino were joined by other members to create miniature “Zines” to hand out to students to let them know more about their magazine.


Me’ilani Nelson (right) has begun to restore the Purchase Reproductive Justice Garden outside of the Visual Arts Building and informed students of its importance with Sophia Zang (left).

Neither the student government nor any faculty or administrative person or board shall make a rule or regulation or take any action which abridges students’ freedom of speech, press or inquiry, as guaranteed Constitutional rights as citizens of the United States. Students of the campus are guaranteed:

  1. the right to examine and discuss all questions of interest to them, and to express opinion privately and publicly;

  2. the right to learn in the spirit of free inquiry;
